^^Such a great film! A real man's movie at that. A hardcore, in-depth look at the brutality of the Vietnam War. Life's been ok. I've been having some fun times with friends these past couple of weeks. On Halloween a bunch of us dressed up(minus myself) and visited Karly at the hospital before heading over to Danny's for a gathering. We showed up about an hour late and missed all of the great scares. A few minutes after arriving we decided to just walk around the neighborhood and act menacing. Not many people were scared, but it was fun none the less. Matt couldn't come until ten due to work, so after prancing around the neighborhood we all went to Subway(in costumes) to say hi. The night soon concluded and I ended up taking quite a few people home. Volleyball tournament was the following week. Congratulations to TNT for your six out of eight victory. And to Cava, who didn't luck out as well, you guys gave an honest effort, and it was a pleasure to watch you. Even Jonny showed up. After talking for hours it seemed like he's having a blast down in good ole North Carolina. I almost envy his decision to take a year off from school and work full-time, but then again, it's not like I landed a management job at Circuit City. lol According to the oh so beautiful calendar there are only four more weeks of classes and then finals for the remainder of the semester. I'm not going to lie, it has been a tough first semester. Now that I look back I wish I took it more seriously then I did. After mid-terms I soon realized that now is not the time to have fun and fool around. At my age it's time to be a good student and work hard towards my future. I can't believe I am saying this but it's true. Yes, I have pulled my grades up quite a bit and feel much more prepared for next semester, but I still feel like college is not where I belong. Of course it's too soon to make a huge decision like that. I will continue doing what I'm doing until I find out otherwise. I know Xanga is dying, but I hope there are at least a few of you still out there reading and writing. If anyone is, just know that I miss you all and hope to catch up on things over the holidays. Maybe even have a party next month. Who knows. Until then, take care and peace out! -Ian
| Well another couple of weeks have come and gone. Not all that much to say. Just want to tell you all that I am alive and kickin! Oh, one question though. It's only about six weeks away. Should I have a birthday party/gathering this year? If so, any ideas? and would you personally come? | | |

^^^Let's just say that I didn't sleep very well last night. Well it has been a great while since I have posted. To be perfectly honest, I am not sure that Xanga is worth the time anymore. I will continue to post when I can but it will be more for my benefit to lay out my thoughts in writing; rather than other's enjoyment. You are still free to comment as you wish to. My life has been a rollercoaster this semester. College has been one of the worst experiences of my life. Quite the opposite of what most teens claim. Don't believe the hype. The work is hard, the professors are complete psychos, you have to work in groups full of idiots and the classes will put you to sleep with all of the left-wing lectures that bombard you for countless hours. It's also quite difficult to make friends when you don't "fit in". I have no desire to drink, snort blow, lose my virginity or party every night. Where are all of these life-changing experiences that adults claim you will encounter while in College that will better prepare you for the future? I have yet to see evidence. Lately I have been able to hook up with some past friends. Just last Friday I met up with Jed at this new coffeehouse in Carlisle called "La Luz." The atmosphere is that of the "Friends" coffeehouse. They have bands every Friday night too. I got a chocolate chunk iced coffee and just chatted with nearly everyone until closing. It was so nice. Especially since Jed is leaving for the military early next year. Best of luck to you man! Oh, one more thing. I'm going to the Farmer's Fair this Saturday. Everyone who can come is invited and we'll all meet. I hope to see you all there! Peace! -Ian
